More than 850 schools and universities, including 40 “Privilege” partner networks, train future fashion and apparel professionals on Lectra’s technologies in 60 countries. By granting more than 60,000 licenses of its latest software and the training of academic staff on Lectra’s latest technologies, the company strengthens the teaching quality for each school’s educational programs. Lectra provides its expertise and experience in industry best practices to a whole generation of students who gain a competitive advantage on the job market thanks to their command of these technologies. They can put their knowledge into practice by participating in competitions organized by their schools, Lectra and fashion companies looking for new talent. Using Lectra’s technologies, students create, develop and produce collections inspired by participating brands.
1-2 — Aubade and De Montfort University contest Lectra and Aubade organized a contest for final year fashion and textile students at De Montfort University in the United Kingdom. For two months, future professionals worked on a project developing lingerie. The two winners were awarded a six-month internship at Aubade. 3 — 3D teaching is increasing in fashion schools Companies are always looking for new talent with a strong and sharp skill set. This is where Lectra’s virtual 3D pattern-making and prototyping technology, taught by more than 75 Education partners in the world to their students, plays a key role. 4 — Technology is one of the pillars of teaching at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute (AMFI) in the Netherlands As a result, the school chose to work with Lectra, notably within the framework of its Individuals program. By learning to design models with extreme precision thanks to Lectra’s solutions, students gain in efficiency, improve their designs and can thus meet fashion companies’ expectations.
